Updated: 2024-07-18

Beijing E-Town recently issued measures to reward institutions and economic organizations that successfully attract foreign investment projects, with the maximum cumulative reward reaching 10 million yuan ($1.38 million).

Regarding landing rewards:

For introducing Fortune Global 500 companies, a one-time reward of 300,000 yuan ($41,294) will be given for each company landed.

For introducing Forbes Global 2000 companies, Global Hidden Champions 500 companies, Global Unicorn companies, Hurun China Foreign Investment Top 100 companies and functional organizations with significant influence such as foreign chambers of commerce, international arbitration institutions, international certification bodies and international rating agencies, a one-time reward of 200,000 yuan ($27,531) will be given for each organization landed.

For companies that have paid a total foreign capital of $500,000 or more in the year they land or the first full calendar year, a one-time reward of 50,000 yuan ($6,883) will be given for each company landed.

Regarding contribution rewards:

If the total foreign capital paid by the introduced companies is $1 million or more in the year they land or the first full calendar year, a reward can be applied for, calculated as 5 percent of the total foreign capital paid in the year they land or the first full calendar year.

An official from the "Two Zones" office said, "For the same introduced project, both landing rewards and contribution rewards can be applied for cumulatively, with the maximum cumulative reward amount reaching up to 10 million yuan."

Introduced enterprises must legally register for business, tax and statistical purposes within the 225-square kilometer area of E-Town New Area. They must be directly or indirectly invested by foreign investors (including those from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan), and align with the "44637" industrial system and the development direction, as well as the urban service enhancement direction of E-Town.
